Soon, his skills led him to become the go-to DJ in Westchester, New York.

The Heavy D Connection A chance encounter during a wedding reception introduced Eddie F to Trouble T Roy and subsequently led to a deep friendship with the legendary Heavy D. Additionally, his friendship with Al B Sure, who was a rapper at the time, further solidified his presence in the burgeoning music scene.

From Demos to Stardom: Eddie F and his team, Al B Sure, Nevelle and Heavy D creating demos, which ultimately secured them a record deal. Al B Sure reached out to Russ Management on their behalf. They submitted their unique “Gold Fingers” demo, featuring Heavy D and Eddie F’s distinctive scratching with a swing beat. This demo piqued the interest of Andre Harrell, who advised them to focus on concepts, hooks, and storytelling.
